The 8th China International Pipeline Exhibition (INTERPIPE 2013) was held September 12-14, 2013. PLM and Caterpillar Global Pipeline (CGP) jointly participated in this event that took place in Langfang, China’s pipeline city. The event attracted exhibitors from across the world and focused on oil and gas storage, pipeline construction technology, pipeline equipment and materials, pipeline operation and maintenance systems and transportation.
This year our tradeshow booth displayed a 336D Hydraulic Excavator. Adjacent to our booth was PLM customer and INTERPIPE sponsor, CPP Construction Company #5. CPP was PLM’s partner in the assembly of the VP72G piepelayer and had one on display, making the two machines seen side-by-side. In addition, CPP had a large display at the front of their booth showing the development process of the VP72G. The video included footage of significant events and familiar faces were seen on the big screen such as Mel Ternan, Dan Macholan, and Raymond Forsyth along with other PLM, Cat, and Vanguard contributors to this project.
PLM representation at this event included Scot Jenkins, vice president Asia Pacific, Charles Zheng, territory manager China, Tony He, senior service engineer, and Shiguo An, operations representative. Caterpillar supported PLM well by leading the booth design and delivery, and by the attendance of Jaya Sinnathurai, pipeline manager – Asia Pacific, Jinling Zhang, sales manager national account, and Pablo Wang, major accounts representative.
