Ten years ago, Caterpillar® pulled together four of its dealers with all of their pipeline experience, resources and personnel, to create an exciting new, game-changing equipment dealer. The dynamic new company was engineered and assembled to provide purpose-built equipment to one focused industry – all around the world.
On April 30, 2015, the board of directors and their advisors met to celebrate this occasion. Eric Hermann, Caterpillar Houston District Manager, presented Tony Fernandez, President of PLM, with an award in recognition of their ten years as a Cat dealership and their mutual successful relationship. The first President of PLM, Mel Ternan, was a special guest.
On May 1st, the 10-year anniversary celebration was held at the PLM headquarters in Cypress, TX USA. The attendees included employees who have been with PLM since day one in 2005. Many of those celebrating remarked on how much PLM has grown in just ten years, building a reputation along the way of being a complete pipeline solution provider for mainline contractors. When PLM first started, these individuals wore many different “hats” and jumped in with both feet to get this dealership underway and successful – so this celebration had special meaning for them. Current and past employees, along with PLM suppliers, came together on this special day along with pipeliner friends like Ron Hooker, and enjoyed the fellowship, music and cake.
